An Early Look at the 12 New Teams Racing Around the World

From poker pros to Harlem Globetrotters to country singers, get a sneak peak at the 12 teams who'll be racing the world in CBS's fifteenth edition of The Amazing Race.

Although CBS won’t officially release the names of the Amazing Race 15 contestants until the beginning of September, an incredible amount of information has already been unveiled about the racers’ identities, thanks to the dedicated detective work of fans at Reality Fan Forum. Poker players, Harlem Globetrotters, and country singers are among the twelve teams who traveled the world from mid-July to early August in pursuit of the million dollar prize. See below for all the latest details on the teams.

1. Brian Kleinschmidt and Ericka Dunlap

Brian Kleinschmidt and Ericka Dunlap are a married couple hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. Twenty-seven year-old Ericka was Miss America 2004, and the first African-American to win the Miss Florida title. She is currently an aspiring country singer. Her husband Brian, also 27, is a marketing director for his entertainment company ListenUp Marketing. They have been married since February 2007.

2. Meghan Rickey and Cheyne Whitney

Meghan Rickey and Cheyne Whitney are a young dating couple currently residing in San Diego, California. Meghan, 23, works as an account executive for a public relations/communications firm and Cheyne, 24, works as a graphic designer. Both are huge fans of reality television, especially The Amazing Race and Big Brother.

3. Gary Tomljenovich and Matt Tomljenovich

Gary and Matt Tomljenovich are a father-son team from Billings, Montana. Gary, 47, is a mortgage broker who also works in construction. Matt, 22, also works at the family’s mortgage company. He stands out from the other contestants due to his bright pink hair, piercings, and several tattoos.

4. Lance Layne and Keri Morrione

Lance Layne and Keri Morrione are an engaged couple hailing from the greater Boston area. Lance, 41, is a marathon-running attorney from Salem, and Keri, 34, is a hospital manager from Everett.

5. Justin Kanew and Zev Glassenberg

Justin Kanew and Glassenberg are friends and actors from Hollywood. Justin, 30, works for National Lampoon’s and wrote and produced the film Adam and Eve. Zev, 26, had a role in the film.

6. Marcy Maloy and Ron Shalita

Marcia "Marcy" Maloy and Ron Shalita are an older dating couple residing in San Francisco. Marcia, 60, is a former flight attendant and trapeze artist who speaks several languages and has lived in Morocco as well as throughout Europe. Ron, 59, teaches SAT preparation strategies.

7. Garrett Paul and Jessica Stout

Garrett Paul and Jessica Stout are a young co-ed team from California who are believed to be dating, but may be just friends. Jessica, 27, is an editor from San Francisco. She speaks Spanish and has traveled extensively throughout Central and Southern America. She previously lived in Barcelona, Spain for a year. Her partner Garrett, 28, also spent a year in Barcelona, Spain. He is currently a manufacturing engineer and has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Both Garrett and Jessica also attended University of California Santa Barbara.

8. Sam McMillen and Dan McMillen

Sam and Dan McMillen are a team of brothers from Liberty, Missouri. Sam, 23, attends Texas Christian University, where he is an anthropology/biology student, while Dan, 21, attends William Jewell College, where he studies business administration.

9. Canaan Smith and Mika Combs

Canaan Smith and Mika Combs are country music singers who regularly perform together. They are good friends, and may be newly dating. Canaan, 26, is originally from Williamsburg, Virginia and Mika, 22, is originally from Hazard, Kentucky. They both currently reside in Nashville.

10. Tiffany Michelle and Maria Ho

Tiffany Michelle and Maria Ho are friends and professional poker players who reside in Los Angeles. Tiffany, 25, is also an actress and musician. She was forced to miss the World Series of Poker in order to compete in the race. Maria, 26, is originally from Taipei, Taiwan. She traveled the world from 2005-2006, an experience that will certainly help her on The Amazing Race.

11. Herbert Lang and Nate Lofton

Herbert “Flight Time” Lang and Nathan “Big Easy Lofton” are friends and professional basketball players for the Harlem Globetrotters. They both reside in New York, although they are originally from Louisiana. Herbert, 33, is a self-proclaimed reality television junkie. At 6’3”, he is the shorter of the two. His partner Nathan, 28, is 6’9”. Nathan has two children, and he and his family are survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

12. The Mysterious Twelfth Team

There is a mysterious twelfth team that is still unknown. The team consists of a longer-haired man and a young blonde woman. The relationship of the team members is also undetermined. They may be vegans.
