This is it, y’all! The makeover! Yes! I love the makeover episode. It’s always so dramatic…and, trust me, this one didn’t disappoint! Here’s the recap!

We get back to the 'Model Compound' after the first elimination, and Melrose is upset because she was almost tossed out. She should be - the girl is lucky to still be around. All that diva-tude during a photo shoot. Girl, don't you know to save it for the house? Like Monique.

Oh yes! Monique is this season's resident b*tch, y'all, but more on her in a wee bit!

Megan and Michelle, or is it Amanda - I mean how do the producers expect me to be able to tell the difference if they lump the girls together constantly. Did you see them in the intro as Amanda/Michelle? Hmmm?)- were practicing their runway walks. Megan, who lost her momma in a plane crash when she was 9, is saying how great it is that even though they're competitors, they're like, um helping each other out!

It's a fantastic example for the Middle East to follow. Thanks, Megan!

Tyra Mail arrives and it mentions how the girls will need to start their day off tomorrow with two "Jays". Finally, a Tyra Mail the girls can almost figure out! (Hey, Tyra, do you need a new Tyra Mail writer? I could so do it! Call me?)

The next morning, the girls have breakfast with the fabulous Miss Jay Alexander, runway trainer extraordinaire, and Mr. Jay Manuel, the equally fabulous makeup artist and photo shoot producer.

The girls were a little upset. They thought they were going to have a makeover!

SURPRISE!

Tyra got y'all out of the house so she could bring the makeover to you.

When the girls returned, the amazing Frederic Fekkai - hairstylist to the stars, including Tyra - was there to help the gals look their model best. Tyra unveiled her ideas for each girl using some cute drawings. Loved the drawings - and the ideas!

After seven cycles it should be obvious to the girls that Tyra knows what she's doing. And so do her peeps! They know how to take the blank canvases that these girls are presenting and improve them.

However, we still had some people like AJ and Jaeda who fought their makeovers at every turn. Note to Jaeda: you should be flattered that someone thinks you have a face strong enough to carry off a Halle Berry short hairdo!

I must also say something to AJ, our Sandra Bullock look-alike:

Girl, Frederic Freakin' Fekkai knows more about hair than you ever will! So, stop being disrespectful, you ungrateful little you-know-what!

Luckily, Jay gave the girls their own dressing down. He told them how disappointed he was in them. I agree! You go, Jay!

Monique was actually complaining that she didn't get enough of a change. Oh yeah! It must suck to be so pretty that they think you're good as is.

Poor Anchal! She had to have her forehead threaded. Take it from me - threading is a bit painful. However, it really opened up her face. She's so beautiful, and the soft layers add delicacy to her strong features...and she didn't complain!

Megan and Melrose got to go blond. Melrose was afraid it would wash her out. I was thinking that was the plan! Hehe!

Allison and Michelle were shades of red. One was straight, the other wavy. Now, as one of them quipped, they can't play "switcheroo anymore". Hallelujah! Maybe next week I'll be able to tell them apart!

Megg, the rocker chick, got a curly-Q 'do that made her look a bit like Amy Yasbeck, John Ritter's widow. The jury's still out on it. Sometimes, it looks good. At others, I'm not so sure.

Eugena got hair extensions. Jaeda got Halle Berry's signature short hairdo which, in my opinion, makes her a much stronger contender than her 70s-inspired Farrah-Fawcett hair with bad highlights.

Can I just ask - if Jaeda was the prettiest girl in her school, what did the other girls look like? I mean she's hardly the prettiest girl on this show! Tyra basically told her so during judging.

But, before we get to that, let's discuss the challenge. This week the girls got to meet with Queen Latifah. They had a unique challenge that had them putting on makeup and getting dressed while in an elevator. If a girl didn't make a level, she didn't proceed. Both Monique and Megg missed out on meeting the Queen, who looked totally beautiful and regal as usual.

The Queen said that Eugena used the color from the CQ Queen Collection the best. She and two of her friends - she picked Caridee and Jaeda - had a special photo shoot as their prize.

Now, when we get back to the house after the challenge, the drama begins. Oh yes! Monique was upset she didn't get to meet Queen Latifah or finish the challenge so she stays on the phone for over 3 hours. Melrose was really annoyed because she had to call her landlord to try and get back her deposit. Monique is encouraged by her mama, who calls her 'little angel' a "child of God" and a "Princess of the Throne". I really want her to go now! Can't stand this drama queen or her mama!

Of course, I'm aware that this means Monique will make it to the final five at least! They need to keep her on this show to stir things up, right?

Well, Tyra Mail comes again and announces that the girls are going to "wig out". They get their hair styled by some weavologists. (Question: How does one become a weavologist? I'm curious!) The styles are crazy, yo! The challenge is for the girls to shine through and not let the hair overpower them.

Most of the girls didn't do so well. Melrose had a rockin' shoot. She needed it!

The twins - Michelle and Amanda - both have great shoots. Megan, with her spinning Princess Leia-style buns, looks good but can't deliver the goods. Jaeda gave just one look - BORING! Eugena thinks she 'knows it all' but pisses off the photographer, Tracy Byrne who says, 'she knows nothing.'

Uh oh!

Now for the judging! I must say that the panel seems to be channeling their inner Simon Cowell this season. There was not a lot of constructive criticism. Just criticism.

They mentioned that some of the girls looked 'mannish' like Caridee. Well, it's kind of hard not to when you're rocking a Too Wong Foo look. Seriously, y'all!

In the end, Megan was sent home. I was a bit surprised by that. I really thought that her sad story would keep her around for a few weeks. I also thought she had that pixie-ish, androgynous quality that is so 'edgy' and translates well in the fashion industry. Unfortunately, the panel didn't agree with me!

I hate it when that happens!

Can't wait 'til next week when Melrose and Monique get into it - again! Yippee!
