The girls head off to Barcelona and shoot a commercial in Catalan. Oh man! It was bad. Jaeda gets her walking papers. Adéu!
The girls are heading back to the model compound after Anchal's elimination and talking 'bout the girl. She was too "naive". She was so insecure. Blah-blah-blah! Stop hating already, b*tches!
Amanda admits that she really thought Michelle was going home. She didn't want to see her twin leave 'cuz this is something they have to share together. Where's Oprah with a box of tissues when you need her? Puh-lease. Amanda, there can be only one ... Top Model.
Tyra Mail said something about acting foolish and meeting Miss Tyra's girl. The girls speculate for like a second. Then, talk turns to how the ladies who are coupled miss their significant others. Jaeda is really feeling the pain. Well, at least she's crying 'bout something besides her hair.
Melrose tells the camera that she knows the other girls hate her, but she can't hear what they say about her. Don't worry, Melrose! I'm sure you can watch it on TV just like we are. Aren't you so glad you now know what they've been saying about you behind your back? I bet it's so much fun to listen to.
Amanda and Michelle are sitting in water with CariDee discussing the elimination. Michelle's like, 'I just don't know if I can make it my dream.' CariDee avoids going all medieval on her narrow *ss. To the camera, she shows her anger. She says, 'This is my dream. I don't want to go home if someone else who isn't sure is still here.'
M-E-O-W!
They all arrive at the challenge. It's in a theater. Tasha Smith, who's guested on ANTM before, is there to teach the gals a thing or two 'bout acting. She tells the ladies to "get ugly." They act silly and goofy. Some are into it. Others aren't.
Then, they do this exercise called "dumping" where they release and unleash all of their emotions. Most girls cry. Melrose seems to be stiff and unable to cut loose or let her guard down. CariDee gets into it and admits that she tried to kill herself before and this is the first thing in her life that she feels like she's doing right.
Whoa!
Tasha sends the gals home and tells them they'll know who won the challenge soon. Michelle's pretty sure it isn't her. So are we, girl! An actress, you are not.
Back at the model compound, CariDee calls her beau and tells him about her admission during the acting exercise. He sounds sympathetic and sweet. Awww!
Tyra Mail arrives with a disk for the girls to check out. On it, is the challenge winner. It's CariDee! She'll get to guest star on One Tree Hill (that spot aired last night right after Top Model). Tyra appears in the film too. She's playing a Spanish lady. Everyone wonders why until Tyra comes out in full costume with a matador of all things.
They're heading to Spain, people! This is the first time I ever wanted to be on Top Model. Spain! Why can't I go?
CariDee arrives on the set of One Tree Hill to tape her guest role. She does well but says it was a long day and wants to get home to take a bubble bath. She's got to pack too.
The girls land in Barcelona. That's in the Spanish region of Catalonia. They speak Catalan there. Catalan is an occitan language, similar to provençal. Occitan is also known as the langue d'oc and lends its name to a region in Southern France, aka the Languedoc, near the Pyrenees, where the language is spoken. (It's so nice to use my degree in medieval Spanish history for something once in a while!)
The ladies go on a tour of the city, which is Spain's fashion capital and home to Custo Barcelona. Along the way they pick up some models. Male models. After the tourh, the 'couples' head off to dinner. There, they get information that they'll be doing a commercial together in Catalan. The men have to help the ladies out. There will also be a kiss.
Jaeda's partner is a real jerk. He tells her he doesn't like 'black girls' and refuses to help her in any way. The following day, the gals meet up with Tyra at the locale for the commercial. When Jaeda tells Tyra about her problem, Tyra's like, 'I can sympathize, but you've gotta make it work.' This competition is all about teaching the girls how to deal with difficult situations, real-world situations. This one sucks. It's not right.
I actually feel bad for Jaeda.
The commercials are shot. All the girls pretty much suck. They can't pronounce the words for sh*t. Jay says Melrose was a standout due to her personality. Yeah! She has the personality, but is it too much to ask for some pronunciation that isn't going to kill my ears?
CariDee was the worst with her language skills. It was painful. Oh my!
At elimination, the girls face Tyra and the judges. CariDee gets called out for her horrible take on the Catalan language. Jaeda forewarns the judges that her shoot sucked. They thank her for the heads-up but really ream her for looking defeated. You try looking any different with that jerk to contend with. I'm just saying. The guy was an *ss and someone should've yelled at his racist *ss.
In the end, Jaeda was sent home. I'm not sorry to see her go, although I do think that the girls should have some back-up in certain situations. I mean - this male model tried to sabotage her because he doesn't like 'black girls'. He refused to help her - and even hurt her chances.
Good luck, Jaeda. I'm sure you'll feel better once you get home, see your boyfriend ... and your hair starts to grow back.
