Baby Names for the Duggar FamilyBiblical & Trendy Name Choices for TLC's 18 Kids and Counting Brood
So what will Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar name the 19th baby in their growing family? Here are some Biblical and trendy name choices they might consider.
It's official. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, stars of TLC's hit series 18 Kids and Counting (formerly 17 Kids and Counting) are expecting baby #19. This means that yet again, the Duggar clan is going to have to come up with a new baby girl name that begins with J or baby boy name that begins with J, since all of their children have J names. Or who knows? Michelle is only 42, which means they might have to come up with J names for #20, #21, and #22. And since Michelle's already given birth to two sets of twins, who knows how many more little J. Duggars will need names? So what will the Duggar family name their latest addition? First, here are the names that are definitely out because they belong to the current kids:
So what should the Duggars name the next kid? Here are some suggestions. Biblical Baby NamesWith their strong Christian values, it's no wonder that so many of the Duggar kids have Biblical names like Joshua, Joseph, and Jeremiah. However, there are plenty more Biblical J that the Duggars haven't touched, so if they're stuck for a name, this might be the place to look! If the Duggars need a baby boy J name, they might want to choose the most popular name in the United States, Jacob. Yes, this name is a bit overused right now, but it's also a good classic name that never goes out of style. Another great Biblical name they've skipped to date is Jonah, which comes with a much loved Bible story. Other possible Biblical choices for boys include Jesse, Jonathan, Jared, Jamin, and Jasher. For girls, there aren't as many Biblical J choices (baby sister Jordyn took the trendy spelling of the most popular one). One good possibility might be Judith, a classic Baby Boomer name favorite that doesn't get used much today. Trendy Baby Names that Begin with JLately, the Duggars seem to be considering names that are a little trendy, as seen by Jordyn-Grace, Jackson, and Johannah. Since there always are plenty of J names in style, they might take a peek at the popularity lists for J name ideas. For boys, the most obvious trendy J name to choose is Jayden. This name is the most popular form of the trendy rhymes-with-Aiden names that have taken America's nursery's by storm (like Brayden, and Caden, and of course Aiden). Unfortunately, Jayden sounds pretty similar to big brother Jason's name, but with so many kids, this might be unavoidable. Jayden (or Jaden, or Jaedyn, or Jadyn) can also be a trendy girl's name. For girls, one of most popular J names today is Jasmine. This name may sound a little too exotic or Disney princess for the Duggars. On the other hand, Jasmine has the same carefree flow as big sister names Jinger and Jessa. Unfortunately, the family dog's name is Jazmine, so this choice might well be out. Another trendy but more classic girl's name choice is Julia (which might be appealing since Jordyn almost was named Julie) or Julianna. Other trendy girl's names the Duggars might consider are Jocelyn, Jayda, or Jayla. Onward to 19 Kids and Counting The Duggars have plenty of fans (and haters), so with baby #19 on the way, there's bound to be speculation as to the name for the next baby. Stay tuned to hear the results!
