The popular reality TV show, Big Brother 8, will premier Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS. Big brother is a reality television show that places fourteen people in an isolated house together while there every move is recorded for television.
According to CBS, the Big Brother 8 house will consist of eleven players in their twenties, two players in their thirties and one player in his forties. Just like the majority of reality television shows, the contestants consist of young beautiful women, attractive men and a few out of place individuals to make it feel like a diverse group.
The players stay isolated in the house competing in weekly competitions for Head of Household, Power of Veto and food competitions. Every week the houseguests compete for the powerful Head of Household and will have the opportunity to nominate two houseguests for eviction. The players then compete for the Power of Veto which can save someone from eviction. The player who wins the Power of Veto may use the veto to save themselves or someone else in the game. The players must also compete for food privileges to avoid a week long of distasteful meals. It will be interesting to see what food the houseguests will eat for the 2007 Big Brother show.
The audience will watch as these players develop new relationships and deal with personality differences. The houseguests must learn to live with one another 24 hours a day while competing to stay in the house. One by one the Big Brother 8 players will be voted out of the house. The last remaining contestant will win the grand cash prize.
The Big Brother show is known to add twists to the show that will surprise the audience and contestants. This year the Big Brother show announces two exciting events that will make the Big Brother show more exciting than ever. The first day in the Big Brother house, the contestants will learn that some of them may be sharing the house with an enemy. Some of these contestants may be sharing the house with individuals who they hoped to never see again. This twist will certainly bring drama and anxiety to the Big Brother 8 television show.
The Big Brother show also announces that this year one houseguest has been selected to be America's Player. The audience will have the ability to vote to determine how the America's Player will play the game. The audience will finally have a chance to ultimately change the game.
