The Moment of Truth is ready to wrap up its season. While the show promises to be the worst one yet, they said that every week thus far, and in many ways have delivered exactly that.
The 7th episode of the season featured a 32 year old carpenter by the name of Michael. Michael dropped out at the 100,000 mark. He admitted to making a wax replica of his genitals. His mother, who sat stage size appeared more shocked by the wax genitalia revelation then the fact that Michael had dated his wife's sisters, dated more then 25 women in a month and had sex with one of his friends wives.
The following week audiences were treated to another Train wreck. Lissette Gonzalez, a model, made it to the 100k mark, but lost all her money when she lied about sleeping with someone to advance her career. She said no, and by the look on her face she was pretty unsure of the answer herself. One would think that you would know whether or not you've had sex to advance your career, but then again apparently not.
Episode 9 was billed as the season finale, but it might not be. Paul Schon has been part of the shows promotional advertising for awhile now. For a young guy Paul, a business owner, apparently managed to rack up a number of very bad habits and big secrets. He admitted to sleeping with over 100 women, likely being unable to stay faithful to one woman, blowing 10k in one day gambling and to being paid for sex. Paul walked away with 100,000 dollars. His mother seemed most disturbed by his sexual partner count. His girlfriend admitted to seeing Paul very differently after the revelations and from the looks of it that relationship has ended, after what Paul admitted to most of America would have walked away from the relationship too.
After Paul called it quits the audience was introduced to the next contestant. Barely out of the starting gate she admitted to some pretty harsh secrets. She answered that she would respect her husband if he made more money, she would be disappointed if her children ended up with her husbands red hair, and to having a difficult time staying faithful to her husband.
The episode ended on that note but a juicy trailer has banked on the next showing being the most shocking and horrendous. Will she win the 500k? Viewers will have to tune in to see, however the questions that are asked and the secrets that are revealed may not be worth all the money.
The Moment of Truth appears to be a breakout hit pulling in anywhere from 10 million to 20 million viewers an episode. It's tantalizing, albeit ethically squeamish, premise and it's prime time spot will likely keep episodes rolling out and viewers tuning in.
