Hell's Kitchen Season Five Wrap-UpDanny Wins a Head Chef Position at Borgata Hotel and Spa
The fifth season finale of Hell's Kitchen was a battle between two different styles of cooking, but in the end, Executive Chef Danny defeated Executive Sous Chef Paula.
The fifth season of Hell's Kitchen came to an end on May 14th, as a new chef was awarded the ultimate prize. This season on the show, the grand prize for winning was a head chef position at Borgata Hotel and Spa as well as a cash prize of $250,000. Quite a nice "take home" for a few weeks of the competition, and certainly something that many competitors have tried to win over the years. Premise of Hell's Kitchen The basic premise of Hell's Kitchen is actually quite simple, where a group of chefs compete against each other in cooking competitions until one chef is left standing at the end of the season. The show progresses with two teams competing against each other each week, and one of the chefs gets sent home at the end of each episode. Usually they are chosen from the losing team, but sometimes strange things will happen in the end. The winning team is usually given some kind of perk, like a trip to wine country, while the losing teams are made to nominate someone to go home. The Fifth Season of Hell's Kitchen This is the fifth season of Hell's Kitchen, and all of them have been hosted by Chef Gordon Ramsey. He is a no nonsense chef that watches over them all, and often comments when he feels that someone is doing something wrong in the kitchen. This season he was extremely rough on some of the competitors, but he typically does this in order to weed out the less than impressive contestants along the way. 16 chefs participated in this season of Hell's Kitchen, all hoping for the chance in a lifetime of heading up a fancy new restaurant. It was a hard fought season, but it all worked its way down to the final two chefs; Paula and Danny. The Season Finale of Hell's KitchenAfter designing their own restaurant setting for the season finale, the top two chefs (Paula and Danny) came up with their own menus to serve. Several contestants were brought back who had been eliminated earlier in the season to help them serve up their final meals, and away they went. Both of the chefs seemed quite impressive, and by the end of the episode all of the meals had been served correctly. The final two segments of the show were elongated to extend the drama, but then Chef Ramsay let the world know that Danny was the winner of the firth season. New Season of Hell's Kitchen Applications have already been accepted for the next season of Hell's Kitchen, and it can be expected that Fox will be rolling it out as soon as they can finish filming.
