Most realty talent shows and reality dating shows have specific eligibility requirements, particularly age restrictions. Game shows tend to have a broader age range, but many require applicants to undergo a series of tests before being chosen for the show. Nearly all reality TV shows require you to be a US Citizen or a citizen of the country in which the show is filmed. Reality Talent Shows
American Idol: You must be at least 16 years of age and no older than 28, with a strong singing voice.
America’s Best Dance Crew: You must be 18 years of age, and competing with a dance group of 5 to 7 members.
America’s Got Talent: This is one of few shows that is open to any age and talent.
America’s Next Top Model: You must be female, between the ages of 18 and 27, and at least 5 feet 7 inches.
Hell’s Kitchen: You must be 21 years of age with culinary training and experience in a professional kitchen.
So You Think You Can Dance: You must be between the ages of 18 and 31, with the ability to dance. Previous training is an asset, not a requirement.
The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search: You must be female, at least 21 years of age and be able to sing, dance or bartend (preferably all).
Reality Dating Shows
Arranged Marriage: You must be at least 18 years of age, with no dependant children and no criminal record.
The Bachelor/The Bachelorette: You must be at least 21 years of age.
Dating in the Dark: You must be in your mid 20’s to late 30’s and live in Southern California.
More to Love: You must be between the ages of 23 and 35, with a curvy figure.
Game Shows and Challenge Shows
Most game or challenge shows require that you have never been on the show in the past.
The Amazing Race: You must be at least 21 years of age, and you must apply with a teammate from the same city as you.
American Gladiator: You must be at least 18 years of age when you apply.
The Apprentice: You must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in US.
Big Brother: You must be at least 21 years of age when you apply for the show.
The Biggest Loser: You must be at least 18 years of age, have a weight loss partner to compete with, and have least 100 pounds to lose.
The Price is Right: You must be at least 18 years of age, and must not have appeared on the show in the last 10 years.
Survivor: You must be at least 18 years of age when you apply.
Trivial Pursuit America Plays: You must be at least 21 years of age, and must not have been on a game show in the past 6 months.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: You must be at least 18 years of age when you apply, and you must undergo testing and interviews.
Wipeout: You must be at least 18 years of age when you apply, and be able to swim.

You can also check listings for casting calls which are easy to find on google. Many shows require a videotaped audition, so make sure you have access to a quality video camera.
