The Moment of Truth has been billed as the biggest breakout hit of the season. Episode after episode Mark L. Wahlberg asked tough questions to contestants and they pursued the prize of $500,000. No one this season made it near that far, but the carnage was still immense.
The season finale of The Moment Of Truth aired early April, 2008 and promised to be the most shocking show yet. Angela Ciemny took the hot seat to finish up questions that began in episode nine.
Ciemny answered questions regarding her marriage, and it continued to be a major theme in the final round of questioning.
Ciemny admitted to considering hiring a private investigator to follow her husband then, just a short question or two later, admitted that she has reason to believe he has cheated on her while he was out of town for work.
Her husband denied it, however Ciemny snapped back with the revelation that he was lying and they should switch places. There appeared to be serious tension in the marriage, as the questions became more personal and the revelations more disturbing.
Ciemny admitted that she too has had a hard time staying faithful to her husband.
Towards the end of the evening Ciemny also admitted to regretting marrying her husband. The tall red-head (yes, his hair color is relevant) did not seemed pleased and when questioned by host Mark L. Walhberg - repeatedly responded with “whatever”.
Walhberg asked the husband questions about his wife's sexual past and the disappointment she would feel if their children turned out to be redheads (see the relevance). What he didn't “whatever” was his wife's response to a church-related question. Wahlberg asked “If your husband left the church would you stay with him” to which Ciemny answered no. Her husband was non-plussed.
While Ciemny faced some tough questions there were also some funny ones. She was questioned about whether or not she has had sexual fantasies involving her best friend. She has. Her best friend, who was on hand, asked her whether or not she had “hooked up” with one of her ex-boyfriends. She had.
Ciemny was moving closer to 100k when she was asked whether or not she would consider posing nude for $100,000. Ciemny said no, however the machine told a different story. Ciemny later admitted she might do it for $200,000.
And with that the episode, the first season of The Moment of Truth ended. Host Wahlberg assured the audience the show would be back with juicer questions and more devastation.
Stay tuned.
