If you think VH1 is all about music videos where have you been? This cable channel has been making waves with outrageous reality shows. And 2008 will be no exception.

What do you get when you put eight celebrities in one room and call it a reality show? No it’s not the Surreal Life, but might as well be when you see Jeff Conway actually snorting Cocaine. It’s called “Celebrity Rehab” and it’s making a debut on VH1 January 10th.

The series features Dr. Drew Pinsky of Loveline fame. Dr. Drew, as he is commonly referred to, will be dealing with celebrities facing addiction problems. Daniel Baldwin, Tom Sizemore, and Brigitte Nielsen are just a few of the stars willing to have their lives taped.

On the show Dr. Drew will address issues from alcoholism to drug addiction and things are bound to get heated.

In a special preview episode, Dr. Drew talks candidly about the show and says people will be shocked by what they see. He’s referring to the no holds barred filming that will give people a peek into the ugly side of addiction. Even though celebrities are being showcased, he says it’s not a walk in the park.

Audiences might revel in the chance to see celebrities in misery, or they could come around and realize that celebrities are real people just like us.

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another series of reality love shows, VH1’s “Rock of Love” is making a comeback.

It only seems natural that Rock Star Brett Michaels is given one more chance to find love after the other two reality shows, “Flavor of Love” and “I Love New York” were given second chances.

In the first season the show was more about partying and stripping than finding true love, but we may be surprised this time around. Could he really find someone to settle down with?

As with all reality shows, the ending isn’t always what counts, it’s all the cat fights and drama that ensues when you put more than a dozen girls under one roof and tell them that only one of them will get the guy.

Look out for more drama the second time around and hopefully a change in theme music. If Brett Michaels is using the show as a catalyst to further his music career he should definitely use this time to introduce the audience to some new tunes.
