X Factor Week 3 Saturday 25 October 2009 - A review of Big Band Week which saw Over 25's mentor Simon Cowell fall out with Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.

Simon Cowell managed to upset all three of his opposing judges in a feisty third week which saw girl group Miss Frank booted off the show.

Cowell was shocked to hear that bookies favourite Danyl Johnson was to join the trio in last night’s sing-off and was said to be raging at Cheryl Cole for voting to send his act home.

Cheryl’s vote brought the judges’ decision into deadlock but Miss Frank were sent packing having picked up the least votes from the public.

The two judges continued bickering about Cheryl’s decision whilst being interviewed by Holly Willoughby during the Xtra Factor.

Dannii Minogue Upset About Cowell Comments On Lucie Jones

Simon is also suffering a frosty relationship with co-judge Dannii Minogue following his comments on Lucie Jones’ rendition of My Funny Valentine during Saturday’s Big Band themed show.

He told the 18-year-old: “I thought it was a very very good vocal, far far better than what we have heard before. Having said that, you sang it like an actress so I didn’t quite get what I wanted out of it.”

Dannii was furious and the pair could only share an awkward glance when her backstage rant was aired on the Xtra Factor last night.

Louis Walsh Says Jamie Archer Broke Rules By Singing Angels Of Harlem

The Over 25’s mentor had earlier been accused of breaking the rules by Louis Walsh, after his act Jamie Archer performed U2 hit Angels of Harlem.

Archer had been advised by Cowell to change his song just 24 hours before the live show but Walsh was adamant that the former pub singer should not have been allowed to perform the song.

He said: “I’m a little bit confused because this week the theme is big band and you came out and sang a U2 song. I just feel it’s cheating a little bit on everybody else.

“I don’t blame you, I’m blaming Simon. There are rules on the show. I wouldn’t get away with this, neither would the girls, so I don’t see why you should get away with this.”

Joe McElderry Is New Bookies Favourite To Win X Factor

Joe McElderry is the new bookies favourite to win the show following a cool and confident rendition of Michael Buble’s Sway. The 18-year-old Geordie has really found his feet on the show and is beginning to reveal a personality to match his amazing voice.

Rachel Adedeji finally made her mark on the competition with a lively performance of Proud Mary by Beyoncé. The 17-year-old was spared the pain of having to perform in the sing-off for the first time since the live shows began.
