Last week was an off-week, so I was rarin' to go this week...until I saw the episode. It's more ho-hum from the dull castaways on Cook Islands.
Alright, y'all! I am still watching "Survivor" this season, but I'm barely interested. Last night, I was itching to play my Sudoku while the darn things was on. A season that started out so promising has hit a brick wall of dullness. It's really boring to watch.
Since hope springs eternal, I'll keep watching and hoping that this season gets better!
So, we're back in the thick of the 'action' - and I use the term loosely - with the kidnapped Nate on the Aitu tribe. Jessica, aka Flicka, gives him some prime intel about what's going on in the tribe. She is obviously upset that no one let her in on what was going on with Cao Boi. She feels as if she got burned by 'plan voodoo', which she did.
However, this tirade in front of the 'enemy' was not endearing "My Friend Flicka" - had to do it, just once - to her crew. Aitu is not feelin' this girl. She's got to know it. I mean the fact they didn't clue her into what was going on with Cao Boi should've been a big hint.
Am I right?
Kidnapped Nate wasn't giving up any info. However, he showed himself to be a savvy player, more savvy than I thought he was at any rate. Nate said he was taking back all he learned to Raro.
Tree Mail arrives. There's a catalog of sorts. In it, there are food stuffs and other luxuries for the Survivor's to choose from. The prize for this week's REWARD CHALLENGE was two items from the aforementioned catalog.
The challenge was very one-sided. Ozzy and Yul proved they're very strong in challenges yet again. Aitu handily won. The only interesting thing on Raro's side, apart from Rebecca flashing everyone her breasts - the poor thing was too exhausted to pull her bikini top down, it seems - was the fact that Brad opted not to swim. This upset his other team mates, especially Nate who didn't get a chance to help out Raro at all.
He was still kidnapped and Aitu made him sit out. Adam gets sent to Exile Island and has a miserable night. It's thundering, raining and just completely a mess. He also mentions that he's a bit upset with his tribe.
Brad is also having some issues with his tribe mates. Before he opted to sit out of the reward challenge, he argued with his team about what items to pick from the catalog. He wanted potatoes and peanut butter, which Aitu actually won. The rest of the team wanted peanut butter and bread. Obviously, they were thinking about the short-term and their stomachs. Oh well!
Uh-oh! Does this mean that Brad will be the next castaway voted off the Islands? This season has shown us one thing - if you go against the group, the group will immediately turn on you.
Meanwhile, over at Aitutaki, Ozzy catches a bird of some sort. I think it might be a wild chicken. The tribe debates whether they should eat it or not. The collective stomach prevails, and Yul takes the animal away to prepare it. (Preparation consists of breaking the poor thing's neck and then cooking it up! Ewww!)
Yul and Becky discuss getting rid of Ozzy. They're threatened by him and don't want him to get to The Merge where individual immunity is key. Ozzy, Jessica and Candice talk about getting rid of Jonathan. Why no one has figured out that Candice is in an alliance with Jonathan is beyond me? The clues seem to be there, y'all! Open up your eyes!
Ozzy knows he could be a target but reminds Candice that he is a good provider and food will become an issue soon.
Now it's time for the IMMUNITY CHALLENGE. Aitu again swims to an early lead. Unfortunately, something strange happens and Raro pulls together. They solve the puzzle first and win immunity for the first time in several weeks.
At Aitu, Jonathan, who sat out, tries to soften the blow of the loss. He's like, "at least they didn't hand us our asses" or something clever like that. Ozzy is worried that he could be going home. Jessica tries to lobby to get Jonathan voted off. However, she seems to be annoying people as Sundra calls her a "mosquito that won't die."
Uh-oh! I guess Jessica's going home. Will Flicka really be sent home for being an outcast and a free thinker? Tribal Council is anti-climactic, of course. We know Jessica's going home. It's obvious. H-E-L-L-O! Everyone voted for Jessica except for Jessica.
Next week, Raro will get more upset at Brad, and Jeff introduces a twist that is supposed to "change the game". Wow! I can't wait! Can you? (I'm being sarcastic, y'all!)
